Inspiration Story:  

This Rainbow Trout is one of a small series of Trout have been painted to look great  individually or all together in the arrangement of your choice.  

As with so many of natures  wonders, a picture cannot do justice to their beauty as seeing them in person is just so much better.   Here is one attempt of mine.  

This will sound crazy  considering their lovely green, pink and blue tones, but for this painting I felt particularly intrigued by the  colour and texture of their fins and tail.  

All of the trout family are really gorgeous and interesting.  There are seemingly endless sub species that are related yet vary in colour accoring to georgraphic location and charactistics of the water they travel in and what they eat.  It  was hard to pick these three soI'm sure I'll paint more one day.   Hope you enjoy them.
