A DAY IN THE FIELD TO HELP BRING BACK THE SALMON

Spent some time today in the great outdoors doing something impactful! Today, I had the much anticipated opportunity to volunteer with MNRF and OFHA at the Bring Back The Salmon  Atlantic Salmon stocking event, in Pickering ON!

Being part of efforts to replenish our precious waterways with these magnificent creatures was not only rewarding but also deeply fulfilling. Witnessing firsthand the dedication of the team and the positive impact we're making on our environment was truly inspiring.

Every little action counts, and today reminded me of the power of collective efforts towards conservation. Let's continue to cherish and protect our natural wonders for generations to come!

Pretty sure that Atlantic Salmon will be one of the fish colour skin textures I'll paint in watercolour next... It will be  layers of watercolour and Salmon brilliance.

It was so great meeting a wonderful group of new people that also were passionate about fish.  Some working in natural resources and others like myself just wanted to be around a whole lot of baby fish and lend a hand.

The whole experience left me feeling happy and peaceful. I guess I had a peaceful easy feeling.   Driving away through the beautiful rural side of Pickering with a song in my heart.

What was that song...?   Love Train written by the O'Jays in 1972.  No relevance to fish, I know, but one of the greats none the less.. much like this day!
